On Friday, July 11, re.te will present the outcomes of the Piano della Comunità di Livo, developed in collaboration with the Municipality of Livo and building on the legacy of the proposal submitted by our studio for the Borghi Plan in 2022.

The Plan is the result of a broader research, planning and co-design process aimed at building a shared long-term vision for the sustainable development and regeneration of this small mountain municipality in the Alto Lario region. In the face of structural challenges such as depopulation, abandonment of built heritage, and marginalisation of local economies, the Plan outlines a strategic framework for re-inhabiting the territory, enhancing local resources, and reactivating community-based practices.

The final report, starting from current trends and territorial dynamics, defines a set of strategies, objectives and site-specific spatial actions for Livo, drawing inspiration from successful practices and initiatives across the Alpine arc. Thus, the Piano della Comunità positions itself as a flexible, shared and participatory tool to guide future development pathways.
